Dua Lipa surprised the star-studded audience at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday with a fabulous performance of her latest hits from her new album, Radical Optimism.
The award show took place in Frisco, Texas, and Lipa got in on the country vibes with a floor-length floral dress in jet black and electric blue.
The gown had an asymmetric halter neck and a flowy skirt that flared out just below the singer’s knees. It also had netlike cutouts all over—giving the piece some pop-star edge. The cutouts ran down the sides, from the bust to the hem, exposing Lipa’s bare skin, while the floral-stamped fabric was also semi-sheer.
Underneath, the “End of an Era” singer wore a black bra and matching thong. And to finish the look, she paired the gown with matching blue suede Christian Louboutin pumps with the label’s famous red soles, plus clusters of white diamonds—on her ears, on her fingers, and on one hand, in the form of a tennis bracelet. Lipa wore her hair in her signature spiky bun and had on rosy makeup, including a glossy raspberry lip and a merlot-red manicure.
Prior to delighting everyone with her performance, Lipa walked the red carpet at the ACM ceremony in a chic black floor-length gown that looked like a modern version of a 1930s flapper dress. The bodice was transparent and draped in beads, sequins, and black crystals in an art deco pattern. And the skirt was a silky piece in a column design that fell in subtle pleats. She wore the same diamond jewelry and spiky ’do.
