Drew Scott Is Looking At Fatherhood in a New Way & His Video of Son Parker Will Make You Emotional

Drew Scott is in the midst of juggling the “terrible twos” with his 2-year-old son Parker, while preparing to welcome his second child with pregnant wife Linda Phan. And while this can be overwhelming, the Property Brothers star is choosing to look at it in other way — and we feel inspired!
“Every little moment ❤️🥰❤️ #fatherhood,” Scott captioned a video on Instagram today. It’s a montage clip of him and Parker edited to look like something straight out of a movie. “Seeing fatherhood cinematically,” he wrote over the video, set to beautiful piano playing. Footage includes Parker copying the way his dad walks, Parker putting laundry in a basket, and Parker walking outside. Even crawling around the living room seems more beautiful and poignant when it’s presented this way!

If the music alone doesn’t make you cry, then just think about how even the most stressful moments can be flipped on their head with a mindset shift. Sure, your baby wants to read the same book over and over again, or they are having a meltdown in public. But if you think about the overall picture of life and parenting, and how the hard times are just small blips in the overarching film of your child’s life, it makes it a little easier. It also makes the small moments seem even more powerful and exciting.
Or, it’s just a really cool edit that wasn’t supposed to be that deep. Either way, it made us feel something, and there’s nothing wrong with that!

It’s not all sentimental moments for the HGTV star, though. Sometimes, it’s just plain fun! Phan shared several photos of Scott on his birthday on April 28, including one where he played with blue socks hanging from his ears and one where he laid on the floor playing the drums with a dinosaur on his chest.
“happy birthday to my fave ❤️ kind, curious and caring ☀️,” she captioned the post. “what I love most is that you’re this way when no one is looking ❤️.” What a great dad!
