Drew Barrymore Reveals Her Daughters Met Ariana Grande, Says She Was ‘So Amazing to My Girls’

Drew Barrymore; Ariana GrandeDrew Barrymore’s daughters no longer have to imagine meeting Ariana Grande.
The Drew Barrymore Show host, 49, revealed that she and her two daughters Olive, 11, and Frankie, 9, whom she shares with ex-husband Will Kopelman, got to interact with the pop star earlier this month.
“We went… to Saturday Night Live to watch her perform and we ended up getting to hang out with her and talk with her,” Barrymore recalled on Thursday's episode of her daytime show.
The 50 First Dates actress shared that she, her daughters and Grande “all sat around chit-chatting and talking” at one point and called it “the biggest gift.”

“My daughters and I are on such a high. She went from being like our idol to our model and now I know I need to listen to her nonna,” she joked, referring to Grande’s song “Ordinary Things” which features her 98-year-old grandmother.
Barrymore shared with PEOPLE earlier this month, while discussing her partnership with Dove on their #TheFaceof10 campaign, that she has been encouraging her girls to find their own dreams and explore their passions as they grow up.
“I love it when my girls get into sports. To me, girls in sports are so awesome. It's the coolest thing I've ever witnessed. Whether my one daughter is doing figure skating or my other daughter is doing soccer, I will be there at every event. I will not miss one, because it's so important for me to support them in that area,” she said.
“I also like it when they're creative and artistic — when they put on a dance, or they do a play at home, or they dress up,” she continued. “They're the fun things that are ageless and timeless.”
The Charlies’ Angels star also revealed that like many moms of tween and teens her daughters have recently started showing interest in skincare and that she’s been having conversations with them about the different products available.

"They're really into skincare because that's really a lot of what they see and what their friends are into. So I'm just always trying to keep track of what products are age-appropriate and not too active for their skin," Barrymore said.
She continued, "I know that there are also a lot of anti-aging products out there, and I just want to make sure that young girls, while they're really invested and in love with skincare — and there are many things that they could be interested in that would be far more perilous — are making sure that their skin is safe and the messages they're receiving are healthy."
