Drake Bell Calls Out “Ned's Declassified” Alums for Mocking His Sexual Assault Revelation: 'Really?'

The former child star revealed his alleged sexual abuse by former Nickelodeon employee Brian Peck in 'Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV'

Drake Bell is standing up for himself.

After Bell opened up about the alleged sexual abuse he faced during his time at Nickelodeon as part of the Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, the former child actor spoke out against some of his fellow Nickelodeon alums for seemingly mocking him on TikTok.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Bell, 37, called out the stars of Ned’s Declassified: School Survival Guide, namely Devon Werkhesier and Lindsey Shaw, after the pair seemingly joked about the allegations on TikTok Live.

“Ned’s Declassless…this is wild…laugh it up guys…laugh it up… ‘Give me your h*les?!!’ Really?!” Bell wrote in the post, which retweeted a screen recording of the TikTok Live.

On the livestream, Werkheiser, 33, said in what appeared to be a mocking tone to costar Daniel Curtis Lee, who was offscreen, “Daniel, we told you never to speak about that. Get back in your hole, Daniel. And give me your holes.”

Werkheiser then admitted, “Sorry — we shouldn’t joke about this, we really shouldn’t.”

“This is awful. Why are we doing this?” Shaw, 34, then piped up from behind her former costar.

“Cause this is about us — listen, our set was not like that,” Werkheiser continued. “And no, it’s f------ awful. The Drake Bell s--- is — that’s crazy to hear… That is f------  man. And that never came out which is really wild. Really wild.”

After the Drake & Josh star replied to the controversial comments, Werkheiser responded by issuing an apology.

“So sorry to Drake. Gutted I hurt you,” he wrote in a tweet as he shared a screenshot of a statement regarding his sarcastic comments.

“I was being an idiot today. No way around it. I feel horrible that my dumbass was even speaking about this without seeing it,” he continued. “I watched Quiet on Set tonight and am horrified by the gravity of what Drake and others shared. Truly heartbroken about what my fellow actors went through. I can’t believe they weren’t protected. I’m sorry for compounding any hurt.”

Shaw, 34, has not yet issued a public response. PEOPLE has reached out to Shaw for comment.

In Quiet on Set, Bell revealed “the story of the abuse he suffered at the hands of Brian Peck, his former dialogue coach who was convicted in 2004 for his crimes against Drake and ordered to register as a sex offender,” per a press release.

He was 15 at the time of the alleged abuse, and Peck was not arrested until two years after the fact, according to an August 2003 press release from the Los Angeles Police Department. He was arrested for lewd acts with a child, and had been “coaching the victim,” per the release.

Authorities began investigating Peck after “the minor’s family reported that Peck had molested the child over a six-month period.”

Per Warner Bros. Discovery, Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV sheds light on the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

“The docuseries reveals an insidious environment” former employees were exposed to, and includes “emotional accounts, chronicling a pattern of gross, abusive, and manipulative behavior that unfolded across decades, as well as exclusive stories about child predators on set.”
