We’re down to our final four queens on RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 16, and the gloves are coming off.

With the grand prize at last in sight, the handful of remaining contestants — Nymphia Wind, Plane Jane, Q and Sapphira Cristál — are taking stock of the competition in TVLine’s exclusive sneak peek of Friday’s episode (MTV, 8/7c). Spoiler alert: shade is thrown.

Q barely gives Plane a second to celebrate her makeover challenge win before commenting on the simplicity of the leotards she and her partner brought to the runway.

“It’s not just about the costume — it’s about the makeover, it’s about the family resemblance,” Plane reminds her. “It’s about how we made our makeovers feel… and your bitch was dressed like a Muppet.”

“It was a concept,” Q replies. “You wouldn’t know anything about it.”

“Q and I definitely have sort of like a sibling rivalry at this point,” Plane acknowledges in a confessional. “We like tormenting each other a little bit. But, you know, there’s always a little truth to the jab.”

After another remark about her looks, Plane tells Q, “Talk to the scoreboard, baby.” And while Q tries to remind her that plenty of queens have won challenges without winning the whole shebang, Sapphira casually comes to Plane’s defense.

The truth is, Q and Plane can trade barbs all day — it’s still any queen’s game. With two weeks until the winner is crowned, any of the Top 4 has a decent shot at victory.
