In downtown Nashville, the company behind Harper's, Layer Cake is opening new restaurant at Nashville Yards

The ownership group behind Harper's later this month will bring another restaurant to Nashville.

The Finch is scheduled to open March 22 at the restored Union Station Baggage building, according to Dallas-based hospitality group Milkshake Concepts.

“We were immediately enamored by the location and believe The Finch will perfectly fit the neighborhood it serves," said Imran Sheikh, co-founder and CEO of Milkshake Concepts. "Offering a diverse menu and aesthetically pleasing design, we hope the restaurant is worthy of one of the city's most historic buildings."

The American grill will feature starters, house-made pastas and entrees inspired by a variety of cuisines, including Korean chicken bao buns, French onion soup and fish tacos.

The restaurant will serve brunch and dinner daily with tentative plans to launch weekend brunch service on April 6. It will be housed in the 6,896-square-foot space formerly home to Flying Saucer Draught Emporium.

Milkshake Concepts opened Harper's in 2023 and has been open about its bullish approach to opening restaurants in Nashville.

Layer Cake, a multi-level bar and restaurant in downtown's entertainment district, closed in February after two years in business. A source close to the company said it intends to sell Layer Cake to an interested buyer who will reopen the restaurant.
