Donald Trump Begins His Attack on Bill Clinton

From Cosmopolitan

After implying in his video statement on Friday that he would be bringing up Bill Clinton’s past indiscretions at the second presidential debate, Republican nominee Donald Trump has now shared a Breitbart interview to his Twitter featuring one of the women who once accused Clinton of raping her.

In the interview, retired registered nurse Juanita Broaddrick goes into explicit detail about the alleged rape, describing how Clinton had bit hard on her upper lip before throwing her on the bed and ripping her clothes off, despite her repeated protests. She then claims that Hillary Clinton attempted to bully her into keeping quiet about the attack at a fundraiser a few weeks later.

Later in the interview, Broaddrick can be seen crying inconsolably, while another of Clinton’s accusers, Kathleen Willey, comforts her.

Prior to sharing the interview, Trump retweeted two of Broaddrick’s tweets on Saturday, in which she again claimed that the Democratic nominee "threatened" her after she was raped by Clinton. Broaddrick first publicly accused Clinton of the rape in 1999, stating that it happened in April 1978.

While Trump has mostly avoided using the allegations against Clinton’s husband in his campaign so far, it appears all bets are now off. After facing harsh backlash from the Republican party for a recently uncovered video of him making lewd and predatory remarks about women, Trump has gone on the offense, and this is likely just a preview of what’s to come at the second debate on Sunday night.

"I’ve said some foolish things, but there’s a big difference between the words and actions of other people," Trump said in his apology video on Friday. "Bill Clinton has actually abused women, and Hillary has bullied, attacked, shamed, and intimidated his victims."

Updated 10/9 at 10:30 a.m.: Donald Trump has tweeted another video from Breitbart featuring three women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual assault: Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey, and Paula Jones.

In the video, the women discuss why they’re "terrified" of a Clinton presidency, and why they believe Clinton is a "fake feminist."
