Doja Cat Heads To The 2024 Met Gala In VETEMENTS Towel “Dress”

Doja Cat has topped off a weekend full of seemingly odd fashion choices with yet another surprising look.
As she exited her hotel to head to the 2024 Met Gala, the “Paint The Town Red” artist left in a what appeared to be a plain bath towel, with another wrapped around her head as if she stepped fresh out of the shower. However, the look actually comes from VETEMENTS, and was styled by Brett Alan Nelson.
She also donned theatrical eye-makeup to imitate the look of running mascara, as well as several pricey jewels. The star hit the red carpet alongside Guram Gvasalia, VETEMENTS’ Creative Director. The creative and his muse have been seen all over New York City together, with Doja rocking other looks from the brand this weekend, including what appeared to be a bed sheet and another look that appeared to be made of plastic wrap.
Many fans of the rapper took to social media to share their thoughts on her latest look, with some believing the towel is just a troll of what she’ll actually be wearing.
“The teasing they’ve been doing alllll weekend, this can’t be the final look. She better EAT when she steps on that carpet!,” wrote one FBD follower, with another adding, “She arrived in a dry clean bag. Leaves hotel in a towel. It’s giving. Show up in the outfit.”
“Y’all better not start walking around with no towel dresses on & IM SERIOUS WHEN I SAY THIS,” joked a follower of TNT, with another observer offering, “Her and Bianca having a competition to see who can be the nudist,” comparing Doja’s latest looks to those of Bianca Censori, wife of Kanye West.
Ahead of turning heads in provocative ‘fits this weekend, the talent paid a visit to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she turned one of her biggest pop-rap records into a Broadway tune.
