Doja Cat closed out the first weekend of Coachella 2024 with a jaw-dropping performance that cemented her as an utter superstar. The 28-year-old singer took the stage just before 10:30 p.m. PT, kicking off her set with “Acknowledge Me.”

She revealed floor-length blonde tresses as she continued the show before ridding herself of the hazmat suit for her live rendition of “Demons” and “Tia Tamera.” The Grammy winner underwent several costume changes as she glided through her array of hits including “F**k The Girls (FTG),” “Attention,” “n.h.i.e.,” “Agora Hills,” and “Paint The Town Red.” Newer fan-favorites like “OKLOSER,” “Ouchies,” and “URRRGE!!!!!!!!!!” made their live debuts.

Throughout the show, Doja kept the high energy up with the help of special guests: Teezo Touchdown, Tyler, The Creator, 21 Savage, The Joy, and A$AP Rocky, as well as her entertaining antics. She closed out her set—much to the pleasure of fans—with a mud-slinging,  risqué rendition of “Wet Vagina.”

The set was Doja’s third Coachella performance, but her first as the top-billed act. Fans couldn’t help but to praise the rapper’s headlining debut. “Doja Cat put on one of the best sets I’ve seen in a while last night at Coachella. Not sure if it’s still up but if you can watch it, it’s worth it. She’s her,” one fan tweeted. A reformed skeptic gushed, “Doja Cat’s Coachella performance definitely made me give more respect to her artistry. Especially when executing performances like these.”

Not only was Doja praised by fans and critics, but her peers as well. Singer DIXSON tweeted, “I want yall to know that @DojaCat is at the top of the big 3. Her live show and flow are unmatched. Go see her. Even if you don’t know a Doja song, the show is so goddamned entertaining it’d be worth every penny. Buy some merchandise too shiddddd.”

It’s safe to say Doja didn’t disappoint as this year’s headliner, and has become one of five acts to receive a perfect rating from The Guardian. Check out more highlights from her set below.
