Dog the Bounty Hunter's Grandson Shares Message Amid Family Turmoil

2019 was a very tough year for Duane "Dog" Chapman and his entire family as they dealt with the loss of Beth Chapman, and 2020 hasn't gotten off to a much better start. The family is in the midst of being torn apart over a rumored new relationship, but at least one member of the Chapmans is trying to make sure he goes into the new year with a fresh outlook.

Dakota Chapman, the grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter and son of Leland Chapman, shared a positive message on Instagram as he looks towards the future.

Looking Ahead

Dakota shared a photo of himself proudly looking over his home island of Oahu while on a hike with his 1-year-old son, Asher, who was strapped to his back.

"Starting 2020 with good vibes and a positive mindset. Even though this past year had a lot of tears, stress and heartache... it also brought happiness and love," Dakota captioned his photo.

He added, "Now here we stand looking out at the horizon embracing the natural beauty and quality of life that we sometimes may take for granted because we get so caught up with keeping busy that we forget to enjoy the small things."

Family Drama

Although Dakota shared his message of love and positivity into the new year, he did not address the elephant in the room -- his grandfather's rumored new romance. Dog the Bounty Hunter has been in the headlines recently because his daughter, "Baby" Lyssa Chapman, has accused a former member of the bounty hunting team of making a romantic play for her father.

Lyssa called Moon Angell out on Twitter recently, and has been unrelenting on trying to expose an alleged romance between the woman and Dog.

"You're disgusting woman," Lyssa wrote to Moon on Twitter.

She continued, "Any person who moves in on a man weeks after losing his wife, who you were supposed to be a 'friend' to, Is the lowest scum on the planet-Which for you wasn't that far of a step down from where you were before. God will get you MARY !!!"

Moving In?

Most recently, Lyssa Chapman claims that Moon moved her clothes into Beth Chapman's old closet and relocated the late reality star's belongings.

"If someone who met your family by dating your brother, tried to date your father after your step- mom died what would you do ? If you went to your mothers closet and saw she moved all her clothes and replaced them with her own, what would you do?" Lyssa asked on Twitter.

Dog has not addressed his daughter's most recent accusations, but sources close to the reality star have told us he is only friends with Moon, and that there is nothing romantic going on between the two.
