Fortnite Battle Royale is coming out with an all-new season.

Chapter 5 Season 2 arrives this week and is titled Myths & Mortals. The new Fortnite season is based on Greek mythology and the three main skins will be versions of Poseidon, Zeus, Hades and Athena.

Fortnite was released in 2017 by Epic Games. The way it works is that 100 players compete in head-to-head mortal combat to be the last one standing.

The game begins with players skydiving onto an island where they are given an ax and must look for other weapons while avoiding an electrical storm.

As players are eliminated, the field of play gets smaller and updates go out with how each person was killed. There are three play modes — solo, duo or squad mode, which allows you to play as a team.

During last weekend’s live event, Pandora’s Box was opened by the community and unleashed all the evils trapped inside.

Fortnite Battle Royale Myths and Mortals will be released on Friday, March 8, presumably around 6-8 a.m. EST, 3-5 a.m. PST and 4-6 a.m. MST.

When is the next Fortnite live event?

A Fortnite live event is going on right now. It began on Tuesday, Feb. 27, with earthquakes shaking the island. Cracks formed in the ground and a Titan Hand came out of it with Pandora’s Box chained to it.

Players needed to deal about 5 trillion damage to break the chest free, which was done within 24 hours. If you approach the now-opened chest you can see souls emerging from it with moans and screams accompanying the evils being released into the world.
