There are few films from the ’80s more beloved by fans than Dirty Dancing, which starred Jennifer Grey as a young ’60s girl vacationing at a Catskill Mountains resort and Patrick Swayze as the dance instructor for whom she falls. Now, for its 30th anniversary, it’s going back to where it was meant to be seen: the multiplex.

On Jan. 29, and Feb. 1, 2017, Fathom Events will be showing Emile Ardolino’s blockbuster in more than 550 select theaters (at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. each day, local time). If getting the chance to see the stars’ famous moves, and hear “(I’ve Had) The Time of My Life,” with an audience of adoring fans isn’t enough, these special screenings will also include a 15-minute sneak peek at “Happy 30th Birthday, Dirty Dancing,” an all-new retrospective documentary about the film. That feature will subsequently be included in its entirety on the Dirty Dancing 30th Anniversary Blu-ray, DVD, and limited edition box set (on store shelves Feb. 7), as will Swayze’s last in-depth interview about the film in the supplement, “Patrick Swayze Uncut.”
