Season 28 of "The Bachelor," the long-running reality dating show, premiered Monday on ABC, as 28-year-old teaching tennis professional Joey Graziadei started his quest for true love.

This season, 32 contestants are vying for Graziadei's affection, including Kayla Rodgers, a 27-year-old guidance counselor from Hamilton, Ohio.

Did you miss the season premiere last night? Want to know how our local contestant is doing? Don't worry, we have you covered.

Here's a recap of episode 1.

Who received the first impression rose on 'The Bachelor?'

During the "After the Final Rose Special," following Charity Lawson's season of "The Bachelorette," Graziadei met Lea Cayanan, a 23-year-old account manager from Waipahu, Hawaii. Cayanan was given a special date card after their meet-cute, and the card's contents were revealed to Cayanan and the viewers during Monday night's show.

As noted by Us Weekly, the card stated Cayanan would have the power to steal a one-on-one date from any contestant between now and the start of hometown dates. But in an effort to keep things fair for everyone, Cayanan burned the date card, earning herself the coveted first impression rose from Graziadei.

“Your interpretation and thoughts of the card that you were given spoke a lot to me, just about your character and who you are,” he said.

Who went home on 'The Bachelor' last night?

Unfortunately, Rodgers, the Greater Cincinnati resident, did not fare well during Monday night's season premiere, as she was one of 10 women sent packing.

The high school guidance counselor was "hindered by bigger, chattier personalities and a very unfortunate lack of screen time," according to Journal-News. While other contestants opted for grander entrances and first impressions, Rodgers chose to "moan sexually" as a way to practice her tennis grunts. This was Rodger's only notable appearance during the season 28 premiere.

Rodgers posted a video to social media Jan. 22 about her experience, stating, "This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I had so much fun. ... Major shout-out to my hometown – Hamilton, Ohio – you guys brought so much support. ... Thanks for watching my debut, and that will not be the last time you see me, so stay tuned.”

Here are the other nine women sent home during "The Bachelor" season 28 premiere, per Decider:

  • Chandler, 24, a graphic designer from New York City.

  • Kyra, 26, a paralegal from Miami.

  • Eleni “Lanie,” 27, a realtor from Philadelphia.

  • Natalie “Nat,” 26, a registered nurse and professor from Sudbury, Ontario.

  • Samantha “Sam,” 31, a certified public accountant from Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Samantha, 25, a pro football cheerleader from Miami.

  • Sandra, 26, a cybersecurity consultant from Nashville, Tennessee.

  • Talyah, 23, an esthetician from Huntington Beach, California.

  • Zoe, 24, an artist from Atlanta.
