A Greater Cincinnati resident will compete on ABC's "The Bachelor," premiering next month.

Kayla, a 27-year-old guidance counselor from Hamilton, will be one of 32 contestants vying for the heart of Joey Graziadei in the show's 28th season.

According to her contestant bio on ABC, Kayla is "an outgoing, trustworthy and unapologetic woman with a big personality" who is tired of being the third wheel in her friend group. Kayla is no stranger to love, however, having previously been in an eight-year relationship. Unfortunately, the couple broke up because Kayla was "ready for her forever," and her ex was not.

Now she's ready to get back out there and find "the one" stating that she "isn't messing around when it comes to dating." Kayla says she's ready to enter her "soft girl era" and settle down with a man who wants kids. Hopefully, Graziadei can be her "forever plus one."

About Joey Graziadei, star of season 28 of 'The Bachelor'

Graziadei was the runner-up on season 20 of "The Bachelorette" with lead Charity Lawson, who accepted the proposal of Dotun Olubeko. A Pennsylvania native, the 28-year-old teaching tennis professional first charmed hearts with his "loyalty, thoughtfulness and compassion," according to his ABC bio.

Now Graziadei is back and "looking for a life partner who is outgoing, caring and shares his love for adventure and exploring the outdoors."

Other Cincinnati contestants who have appeared on 'The Bachelor,' 'The Bachelorette'
