Yes, Abuelita died. As the crew returned home from prom, Ruby's parents announced that Abuelita died in her sleep.

Throughout the series, viewers learned that Abuelita was diagnosed with cancer. While she was often sick, her death was completely unexpected.

Ruby delivered a touching speech about his grandmother's legacy during a community memorial held in her honor. "To an old broad who was never really old. Who wanted to be celebrated and not mourned and who showed us all how to live," he said. "To Marisol. You will be missed."

After huddling up with his crew, Ruby revealed that Abuelita left them a map. The map's final destination was never revealed, but viewers could only assume that it would lead them to the infamous RollerWorld money.

More details on the map could possibly be discussed in the upcoming On My Block spin-off Freeridge.

Is Abuelita the only person that died this season?

Unfortunately, Abuelita isn't the only person who passed away this season.

Things took a turn for the worse as Oscar and his pregnant girlfriend Isabel prepared to move to Portland to begin a new life together. Cesar discovered Oscar lying on a doorstep after hearing gunshots and a car speeding away. Cesar held Oscar close as he gasped for air moments before he died from his fatal gunshot wounds.

Oscar's murderer remains a mystery throughout the rest of the season, but his gang affiliation seemed to be a leading reason why someone would want to harm him.

Season four of On My Block is available to stream on Netflix with subscriptions starting at $8.99 per month.
