Okay everybody, the time has arrived! Marvel finally dropped the official Deadpool & Wolverine trailer!

Deadpool's threequel is the first in the series that will be under Disney, and also connected to the MCU. Many fans were worried about the tone and violence that Disney would allow, but it appears that Kevin Feige and company are allowing Ryan Reynolds to do his thing on an R-rated level.

The new trailer runs for about two-and-a-half minutes, and is filled with cameos and Easter eggs that have fans like myself salivating.

The fact that Disney was comfortable showing this many Easter eggs in the first official trailer makes me feel like the movie will be full of surprises. I'm geeking out over here!

So, let's dive into all the Easter eggs in the new trailer.

1.Cassandra Nova is the main villain.

We get several scenes of Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova in the trailer. In the comics, Nova is the evil twin sister of Charles Xavier, who we know as Professor X. While in the womb, Xavier became aware of his evil counterpart, who was more of an

Much like her brother Professor X, Nova has immense psychic abilities, including mind control. However, she also has a long list of powers that never developed in Xavier, such as telekinesis, body swapping, phasing, and more. In the trailer, we see her use telekinesis to subdue Wolverine.

3.It appears Nova set up a base of operations in the corpse of Ant-Man.

We get our first real Avengers tie-in with a shot of Nova stepping out of a huge corpse head, one that the trailer later reveals belongs to Ant-Man. This is a big hint that her origin will take place in an alternate timeline.

4.This callback to X-Men's bar scene sets up the nostalgia nicely.

In the first X-Men film, we see Wolverine's claws for the first time after he wins a cage match and is sitting at a bar. He gets into a little brawl with someone who recognizes he's a mutant, and is forced to fight and then flee. In the Deadpool & Wolverine trailer, we get a nod to that OG scene. It actually looks like the same bar!

5.Speaking of nostalgia, we see a host of X-Men villains outside of the Ant-Man corpse base of operations.

6.An Iron Man logo makes a sneaky appearance.

7.Oh lawd, Alioth from Loki devours the scene.

The guardian of The Void from Loki makes a brief appearance, which is no surprise. We know from the teaser trailer that was released months ago that the TVA will play a vital role in Deadpool & Wolverine. Here, it seems like Alioth is consuming the area near or around Ant-Man's skull.

8.A Liefeld's Just Feet storefront cheekily pokes fun at the Deadpool creator.

9.This Copper Heads logo alludes to a random villain and a potential crossover.

We also see a bar named Copper Heads in this sequence. Copperhead is a pretty random villain from Marvel Comics. A couple of people used the alias, but Davis Lawfers is the most popular. This could be a hint that Copperhead will appear in the film, and he has battled Spider-Man before. Ooo my Spidey Sense is tingling! Not to mention, Copperhead is a member of the Serpent Society, a crew of villains rumored to be in Captain America: Brave New World.

10.Madonna's "Like a Prayer" and the date of the trailer drop, April 22, make a nice coincidental Easter egg.

Deadpool & Wolverine's trailer dropped today, April 22, and uses Madonna's "Like a Prayer" as the musical backdrop. Fun fact, on Apr 22, 1989, "Like a Prayer" started a six-week run on top of the Billboard charts.

11.An inter-dimensional portal gives us hope for a Doctor Strange cameo.

Toward the end of the trailer, we see Wolverine and Deadpool jump through an inter-dimensional portal. Will Doctor Strange make an appearance, or maybe Wong? My guess is the latter. It also seems like the portal is purposefully edited for the trailer, so we can't see what's on the other side. However, in the background, we can see Alioth's smoke.

Here's another shot showing the portal, as Wolverine and Deadpool jump from Ant-Man's skull.

12.A comic-accurate sleeveless Wolvie gives us the scorching gaze.

Although a lot of the promotional imagery we've gotten of Wolverine in the film so far shows him in long sleeves, this trailer gives us the comic-accurate no-sleeve look.

13.This Dogpool cameo made my day!

Aww look, it's Dogpool! This Deadpool variant from the comics has all the same powers as his counterpart. I can't wait to see him whoop some ass.Side note: Wolverine is not impressed here.

14.Smile and say cheese!

The "SMILE Wait For The Flash" sprawled around Deadpool's gun's muzzle is classic Wade Wilson humor and made me chuckle.

15.The 20th Century Fox logo represents the since-rebranded studio, and is a nod to Wolverine's destroyed past.

16....is that the Titanic?

17.We get an interesting peek at mass graves in Wolverine's world.

Deadpool hints that Wolverine's world

Deadpool hints that Wolverine's world "went to shit," and we get a scene where Logan is walking by what appears to be enormous gravestones. I'm not really sure what this connects to in the comics, but I'm excited to see where it goes.
