Deadpool 3: When it comes out, what to know about Cassandra Nova, does Taylor Swift costar

“Deadpool & Wolverine” — the third movie in the Deadpool franchise — is coming out this year.

Directed by Shawn Levy, the movie is set to star Ryan Reynolds, Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin, Morena Baccarin, Rob Delaney, Karan Soni, Leslie Uggams and Matthew MacFadyen.

It is also rumored that Taylor Swift will join the cast as Dazzler, a superheroine who can convert sound vibrations into light and energy beams. She also happens to be a musician and pop star.

Levy has not confirmed whether Swift does indeed make a cameo in the film. The official trailer was released on Monday, April 22, and though there was no sign of the uber-famous Swift, there is plenty to look forward to with “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Who is the villain in ‘Deadpool 3’?

The newest villain in “Deadpool & Wolverine” will be mutant Cassandra Nova, the twin sister of Charles Xavier – or Professor X. She's played by Emma Corrin of "The Crown."

While in the womb, Xavier destroyed Nova after realizing she was evil. His mother gave birth to a stillborn, but Nova regenerated her body and vowed to kill her brother.

Cassandra Nova will be one of the many hurdles standing in Deadpool and Wolverine’s way of saving the universe. Her powers include telekinesis, body swapping, phasing, psychic abilities and mind control. She is also able to dodge Wolverine’s claws, manipulating him with her powers.

She appears in the trailer as a bald woman saying, “Boys are so silly.”

What is the plot of ‘Deadpool 3’?

Deadpool recruits Wolverine to help save his world. Although the two seemingly have a difficult time getting along, as shown in the trailer through numerous fight sequences, they join forces and seemingly go to Battleworld.

It remains to be seen what, or who, else the pair fight in order to save Deadpool’s world.
