DC Young Fly Says Seeing Women With BBLs Reminds Him Of Jacky Oh’s Death

DC Young Fly says late girlfriend Jacky Oh’s death haunts him whenever he sees a woman with a BBL, as she never awakened from the procedure herself.

During a recent interview with Cam Newton, the comedian opened up about his late significant other. He began by speaking about Jacky’s character and how “empathetic” she was. Fly recalled a moment when they first heard of Kobe Bryant’s passing. DC remembered the California native crying for Vanessa Bryant and sharing her pain. The comedian expressed his shared sympathy for both Vanessa and his wife at that moment, not realizing that it would be “[his] turn.”

Cam then asked the Wild N’ Out talent if he had begun looking at “bodily procedures” differently after Jacky’s passing. DC took a minute to gather himself before agreeing. He then called on men to do more in telling their ladies how attractive they are. He also called on women to “listen to their men.”

“I get why women want to enhance themselves, but fellas, we have to do more on just continuously telling our women that they’re beautiful,” he said. “We have to continuously tell them that they’re gorgeous. Don’t make your woman feel like, she has to go do something–even if you f**king with another chick… you just love a woman–that’s it.”

“And women, listen to your man,” he continued. “Even with that going on, this is what I’m reminded of every day. If you look at it, bro, the women [and] the rate of the BBLs…If you look at the women today, it’s a lot of women who have BBLs when you go outside. So I’m constantly reminded [of Jacky’s death], like, they [survived]. There go another big booty… She made it. Go in the club, oh, these motherf**kers in here made it.”

DC Young Fly then reflected on his own mindset, seeing how many procedure “survivors” there were. The House Party actor then continued giving advice to other people who have folks in their lives getting procedures like BBLs done. However, speaking for himself and Jacky Oh, he insisted that “as a unit, I took a loss.”

“So we have to got to continue to go through the stages and understand that that just how it is. You got the rest of your life…What you gonna do from this situation?”

“I’m not going to sit here and tell somebody don’t do what they want to do. But if you got a woman just continuously to tell her that she’s gorgeous, continuously to tell her that she’s beautiful, and whatever happens after that, it happens. People make decisions as a unit, you have to live with that as a unit. I can’t sit here and say, ‘I’m against nothing. Oh, I’m with it!’ As a unit, I took a loss.”

According to Page Six, the mother of three died from cosmetic surgery complications in June 2023. The tabloid reported that the model, née Jacklyn Smith, traveled to Miami in May 2023 for a “gluteal augmentation procedure” or a BBL. Reports stated that the 32-year-old suffered from brain swelling and bleeding around her torso before her death. Smith’s death was ruled accidental.
