In the previous Date A Live V episode, we witnessed a dramatic confrontation between Shido and Westcott. The episode delved into the intriguing backstories of Ellen, Elliot, and Westcott, revealing the latter’s sinister motives of vengeance and his quest for a world solely for magi.
Westcott’s manipulation from the shadows, his acquisition of power and wealth, and the creation of Mio, the spirit of origin, set the stage for cataclysmic spacequakes. The episode concluded with a tense battle between the spirits and Mio, leaving only Tohka and Origami standing.
Westcott wants to absorb Shido’s spirit power, and the flashback sequences end. He wants to gain control over Mio, which leads to tension between the two. Yuzuru dies while trying to attack Mio.
