On Tuesday (April 16), DaBaby took his talents to Los Angeles radio station Power 106 with host Justin Credible to deliver a freestyle rap over two of today’s most trending songs. The North Carolina rapper took his turn at Future and Metro Boomin’s No. 1 record “Like That” and also Sexyy Red’s viral “Get It Sexyy.”

“Put me in the game, let me participate,” urged the 32-year-old to the broadcaster before the instrumental began.

“I’m not one of those ni**as that’ll let you slide if we don’t get it along / Even if people there I’ma teach you something about who you picking on,” rhymed the “Cry Baby” rapper, matching the fiery energy on the track provided by Future, Metro and Kendrick Lamar.

As the freestyle ends with DaBaby repeating the word “b**ch,” Justin Credible sets up the second track.

“If it’s cool with you, you know we gotta go two-for-two. I’ma drop another beat and you can just slide on that sh*t,” he tells DaBaby.

“What’s up Sexyy Red, you know you my favorite mother f**king rapper. Your birthday was yesterday. Happy Birthday baby. You know I love you. I love that ghetto sh*t. Let’s do it,” the rapper exclaimed before taking on the nostalgic beat.

DaBaby’s last album arrived in 2022 with Baby On Baby 2. That same year, he issued a collaborative mixtape with YoungBoy Never Broke Again titled Better Than You. In the meantime, the chart-topping rapper has kept busy with singles, including “Hate It Or Love It” with Rob49, “Shake Sumn,” “Trickin,” and “Point Em Out” with That Mexican OT.

Last year, the “BOP” performer revealed how his biggest career controversy thus far has impacted his life. In 2021, he received backlash for homophobic remarks at Rolling Loud.

“In hindsight, that parked me and kept me from taking off running and utilizing my hustle to distract myself and keep my mind and my spirit and my body occupied,” he detailed to Shannon Sharpe on an episode of the Club Shay Shay podcast. “.Who is to say where I would be mentally and spiritually had I not been forced to sit my a** down and self-reflect.”
