UPDATE: A third matinee added due to demand as Lincoln Park presents 'Footloose' musical

MIDLAND ― Feel free to kick off your Sunday shoes watching Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center present "Footloose the Musical."

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. April 26-27 and May 3-4, with matinees at 2 p.m. April 28, May 4 and May 5, in Lincoln Park's MainStage Theater.

Based on the beloved 1984 Kevin Bacon film, "Footloose the Musical" tells the classic story of a rebellious teenagerwho moves to a small middle-American town where dance is forbidden, and soon encourages classmates to defy the accepted norms of the community.

A quarter century after its Broadway debut, the rocking musical continues to dance its way into audiences’ hearts, featuring dynamic new songs and boasting such hits as “Let’s Hear It for The Boy,” “Almost Paradise,” “Holding Out For A Hero,” and the titular song “Footloose.”
