Custom Fit Denim Brand unspun Taps Artist Bráulio Amado for Limited-Edition Jeans

unspun -- the Hong Kong- and San Francisco-based brand creating custom-fit denim using 3D scanning technology -- has joined forces with Portuguese graphic designer and illustrator Bráulio Amado on a limited-edition release.

The collaboration marks unspun's second team-up, following its unexpected collaboration with Collina Strada that was revealed at the Spring/Summer 2023 edition of New York Fashion Week. With its latest release, the rising label continues to discover ways to create garments while minimizing its impact on the planet, using Jeanologia -- an eco-friendly alternative using laser technology -- on the co-created jeans. In addition to this method, patches and graphics are applied to the pants using a waterless direct-to-garment printing method developed by Kornit.

The jeans, offered in three styles, highlight Amado's signature aesthetic, featuring three printed patterns, which are accompanied by customizable thread color. All of the pieces are highlighted with the artist's illustrations on the back pocket.

In addition to being eco-friendly, the Bráulio Amado x unspun collaboration supports Planned Parenthood with a portion of the proceeds from the release going to the organization.

Take a closer look at the designs above. The collection is now available via unspun.
