All the stars are out tonight at the Met Gala. Among them is Elizabeth Debicki, making her return to the Met's green carpet after skipping out on the event last year.

In keeping with this year's "The Garden of Time"-themed carpet, the ever-stylish star donned a floral headpiece to match her gleaming gilded gown by Dior haute couture.

It's a very different sort of shine than the star has been accustomed to in recent years, when she spent much of her time decked out in some of Princess Diana's signature styles, including some of the late royal's most famous jewelry moments. Debicki famously portrayed the princess—who made her own Met Gala appearance back in 1996—in the final two seasons of The Crown, a role for which she took home a Golden Globe, and was recently nominated for a Best Supporting Actress BAFTA.

Debicki last appeared at the Met Gala in 2022, when she wore another ethereal Dior haute couture gown, this one made of head-to-toe cream lace, accented with a gold Jennifer Behr headpiece.

This year's gala celebrates the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute's spring exhibition, titled "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion." Showcasing more than 400 years of fashion history, the exhibit features around 250 rare items from the Costume Institute’s permanent collection, including historic peices so fragile they are being displayed through "video animation, light projection, soundscaping, AI, CGI, which will be used throughout the exhibit," according to Andrew Bolton, the institute's curator.
