Rob Lowe is 60!

The handsome actor first came on the scene as a teenager back in 1983, and quickly stole the hearts of his entire demographic. And while his journey in Hollywood hasn't been without its hiccups, Lowe remains one of the most beloved thespians to come out of the '80s.

From his days as a member of The Brat Pack to magical moments with his wife, check out some of Robe Lowe's coolest throwback photos.

Robert Hepler Lowe was born in Charlottesville, Virginia, on March 17, 1964, to Barbra Lynn Hepler, a school teacher, and Charles Lowe, who was a lawyer. Rob is big brother to Chad Lowe, whom the family welcomed in 1968.

Helper and Lowe divorced when the boys were young and would go on to welcome other children — Micah Dyer and Justin Lowe, respectively — in subsequent relationships.

Lowe first rose to prominence as a teen heartthrob in the '80s after starring in The Outsiders, which was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. It's easy to see how the now-classic coming-of-age film was a hit, given the fact it starred the who's-who of Hollywood heartbreakers and budding talent.

Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Ralph Macchio, Tom Cruise, C. Thomas Howell and Emilio Estevez were all part of the supremely talented and extremely good-looking ensemble cast.

Lowe followed up the success of The Outsiders by starring in St. Elmo's Fire in 1985. Another classic, the Joel Schumacher film starred Emilio Estevez, Demi Moore, Ally Sheedy, Andrew McCarthy and Judd Nelson, among others.

At the peak of his powers, Lowe was part of The Brat Pack — a group of young, good-looking and sometimes trouble-making actors who appeared in coming-of-age movies together. The Pack also included Estevez, McCarthy, Moore, Nelson, Sheedy, Molly Ringwald and Anthony Michael Hall.

Like his big bro, Chad also ventured into the entertainment industry, starring in the 1984 television film Silence of the Heart alongside Estevez's younger brother, Charlie Sheen.

In 2020, the Lowe brothers began working together on Fox's procedural drama, 9-1-1: Lone Star. The gig was, of course, a piece of cake, given the fact that the two are so close.

"We have ESP," Rob told PEOPLE at the time. "So he knows before I say something, and I know [before] he says something. And if something isn't working, we both know without even talking to each other."

Working with Estevez and Sheen was also made easy by the fact that the Lowes became neighbors with the famous family after they moved to L.A. Above, a suave Sheen is cool as ever while posing with the Lowes and other friends during a Thanksgiving Turkey Bowl back in the day.

With a reputation for being a bad boy and a troublemaker, Lowe eventually found love with Sheryl Berkoff, whom he often credits for changing his life.

"Listen, she may have saved my life, really. I mean, she met me when I was at the end of my '80s run of wild boy craziness, and she was worth changing my life for," he told Entertainment Tonight in 2021.

"And so I am really lucky that that happened to me. Maybe I had changed it on my own, maybe, but it's a big maybe. And just when I met her, I knew that if I could not make it with her, I definitely could not make it work with anyone else," he concluded.
