Concerts in the Park series to return to Huntsville this summer
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Huntsville summer tradition is returning to Big Spring Park starting Monday, June 3.
Arts Huntsville and the City of Huntsville Department of Parks and Recreation announced the return of ‘Concerts in the Park.’

Every Monday between June 3 and August 5, residents of North Alabama are welcome to attend the free event at Big Spring Park with music from local and rising artists. For those wanting to sit and stay a while, organizers say you should plan on bringing your own seating.
Pets are welcome to enjoy the concert, but event officials say furry friends must be leashed!
The concert series will start at 6:30 p.m. and end around 8:30 p.m.
This year’s concerts are presented with the support of Intuitive Research and Technology, Huntsville International Airport, Huntsville Utilities, Randolph School, Redstone Gateway, and Cumulus Media.

“Concerts in the Park is Huntsville’s summer soundtrack,” Executive Director of Arts Huntsville, Allison Dillon-Jauken says. “Every Monday evening, Big Spring Park will transform into a stage for rising stars and beloved local bands – there’s something for everyone throughout the summer.”
The opening night will kick off with a drone show to celebrate 25 years of Intuitive Research and Technology Corporation, which organizers said is a first-of-its-kind display for Huntsville.
The June 10th edition of the concert is part of Huntsville’s Armed Forces Week celebrations and will end with fireworks downtown. On June 17, the concert is dedicated to celebrating Juneteenth.
Local food trucks and vendors stationed along Williams Avenue will offer a ‘diverse array of local cuisine,’ with some vendors in the park as well.
