Mar. 29—Wrenshall, Minnesota: Join a group hike on the North Country National Scenic Trail at the Wisconsin-Minnesota state line sponsored by the North Country Trail Association's Brule-St. Croix Chapter. The 5-mile hike will be on a new section of trail in the Nemadji Valley that follows a historic rail grade, visits overlooks of Clear Creek and crosses the MacQuarrie Wetlands. Superior: Superior Public Library hosts Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Children and their caregivers can listen to stories, do crafts, sing songs and more at the library. No registration is required.
Virtual: The University of Wisconsin-Superior will host Dr. Jud Brewer, a New York Times bestselling author with 25 years of experience in mindfulness training, for a free virtual presentation "Unwinding Anxiety: Can anxiety and worry be perpetuated like a habit?" beginning at 4:30 p.m. Brewer will discuss the underlying behavioral and neurobiological mechanisms of why anxiety and other habits are formed and how to tap into these very processes to uproot them. Solon Springs: Congressman Tom Tiffany's staff will hold office hours from 10-11 a.m. at the Solon Springs Community Center, 11523 U.S. Business Highway 53, to assist residents who may need help with a federal agency. Appointments are not necessary, and staff will be able to help with federal matters concerning Veterans Affairs, Social Security, the Internal Revenue Service, Medicare, passports and more.

Superior: The Sacred Heart of Jesus Conference of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in Superior is offering a 23rd-anniversary free community breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cathedral of Christ the King's Kress Hall, 1410 Baxter Ave. The breakfast will include food, live music and door prizes. A silent auction will be held to cover some of the expenses. All are welcome to attend. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a worldwide Catholic organization that helps those who are struggling financially with food, clothing, living expenses and temporary housing.
