EXCLUSIVE: The Chris Pratt and Rebecca Ferguson sci-fi thriller Mercy is adding four with A Star Is Born‘s Rafi Gavron, Chris Sullivan, Kenneth Choi and Kylie Rogers.

Timur Bekmambetov directs the Amazon MGM Studios project, which was penned by Marco van Belle. It follows a detective (Pratt) who is accused of a violent crime, and must prove his innocence is a future where capital crime has swelled.

Gersh, Affirmative Entertainment repped Gavron began his career with a breakout lead role in Anthony Minghella’s Breaking and Entering, for which he earned a nomination for ‘Best Newcomer’ at the British Independent Film Awards. In addition to A Star Is Born, he also starred in the limited series Ghosts of Beirut, two seasons of Godfather of Harlem for MGM+, Hulu’s horror feature adaptation of Clive Barker’s Books of Blood, HBO’s Westworld, and Hulu’s limited series Catch 22. He is also represented by Dave Feldman, Breechen Feldman Breimer Silver & Thompson.

Sullivan is known for playing Toby Damon in the hit NBC drama This Is Us, earning him 2019 and 2021 Emmy nominations in the category of Best Supporting Actor in a Television Drama as well as Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series wins at the SAG Awards in 2018 and 2019. He most recently starred in the highly anticipated sequel to Megamind, Dreamworks’ Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate. The film also serves as a pilot to the television show adaptation Megamind Rules where Sullivan reprises his role. Sullivan also recently starred in Steven Soderbergh’s thriller Presence which world premiered at Sundance, and sold to NEON as Deadline first reported. Sullivan’s other TV credits include Camping, What If…?, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Good Fight, Stranger Things, and The Knick. On the film side, he is known for his role as Taserface in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Sullivan is represented by Gersh, Suskin/Karshan Management and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller, Hoberman.

Choi can currently be seen starring on ABC’s 9-1-1 from creator Ryan Murphy which is airing its 7th season, and in the feature All That We Love from director Yen Tan. Other feature credits include Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street, Marvel’s Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain America: The Winter SoldierSpider-Man: Homecoming, DC’s Suicide Squad, David Ayer’s Bright, Steven Spielberg’s The Terminal, and Drew Pearce’s Hotel Artemis. On TV, Choi also starred in FX’s The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, Fox’s The Last Man on Earth, NBC’s Allegiance and Ironside, and FX’s Sons of Anarchy. He is represented by Atlas Artists.

Rogers most recently starred opposite Joaquin Phoenix in Ari Aster’s A24 movie last year, Beau is Afraid. She also stars in Cory Finley’s Plan B film, Landscape with Invisible Hand, for Amazon MGM, reprised her role as ‘Young Beth’ in Season 5 of Yellowstone opposite Kevin Costner, and starred in the Apple TV+ show, Home Before Dark. Rogers is repped by WME, Linden Entertainment, and Brecheen Feldman Breimer Silver Thompson.

Mercy is produced by Oscar-winning Oppenheimer producer Charles Roven. He’s producing Mercy with Atlas Entertainment SVP Robert Amidon alongside Bekmambetov’s BEL banner and Majd Nassif.
