Actor Chris Pine is exceedingly handsome — obviously — but part of his charm is that he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously. He'll appear on the red carpet looking impeccably groomed and suave, then in his personal time, he's all about comfy clothes, growing out his beard, reading, and vibing. For the premiere of his directorial debut Poolman, Pine looked like the pinnacle of surfer daddy with his longest, blondest hair ever, which paired perfectly with his very Carrie Bradshaw-esque floral pin.

Pine ditched the traditional tux or suit in favor of a cheeky “I Love L.A.” T-shirt, shorts, and a jacket, which set the foundation for his bleach blonde, shoulder-length waves and salt-and-pepper beard. He pushed the surfer waves back from his face with a pair of sunglasses, letting a little piece of hair brush his forehead. If you walked past him on the Malibu beach, you wouldn't think twice — and that seems to be the intention behind the look.

Pine's hair has grown out a lot since November, when he walked the red carpet to promote his animated movie Wish. At the time, his hair was cut long but was a mix of brown and gray tones.

The long, blonde hair is an extension of his Poolman character Darren, a pool man who takes on the Los Angeles suits. (Watch the trailer here.) Pine actually wears the aforementioned shorts and jacket ‘fit in the film, so it’s truly incredible that he also donned the costume and accompanying hairstyle for the premiere. That's commitment!

Pine changes up his hair a lot, and we love every single look equally. During the Don't Worry Darling press tour, he and costar Florence Pugh basically had the same blonde bob hairstyle, but in 2023, he chopped off his fan-favorite long hair after his publicist told him it looked like “the Rachel” haircut. "I thought I was looking pretty fly," Pine said at the time. But once the comparison had been made, “I couldn't unhear it.” Who knows how long this surf daddy hair will last, but we think it's truly delightful.
