Chipotle CEO Grilled Over Unhealthy Menu Options
Steve Ells, CEO and chairman of Chipotle Mexican Grill, debated CNN Money’s Cristina Alesci about the high calorie and fat content of the chain’s burritos and bowls, insisting that “there’s really nothing that we can do to prevent people from eating a certain quantity of food.” Earlier this week, the restaurant chain said its menu had gone completely free of genetically modified organisms, but Alesci pressed Ells, saying the source of the food isn’t as harmful as the amount.
