Chicagoan behind new, animated ‘Good Times’ says ‘it’s not as scary as it looks’
South Side native Ranada Shepard is making history as showrunner of the new, animated “Good Times.” The Netflix series isn’t what some fans were expecting, but Shepard says “I went into this from a place of love … there’s really a message in here.”
She talked to WGN about what she wants audiences to know about the show and why she thinks its worth giving some time.
