Taylor Kinney is a married man. The Chicago Fire star married Ashley Cruger after two years together.

People confirmed that the duo tied the knot in an intimate Chicago ceremony on April 30. The wedding came as Kinney, 42, wrapped filming on season 12 of Chicago Fire. (Kinney has played the role of Kelly Severide since the show’s 2012 premiere.)

Cruger has since changed her last name on Instagram to Kinney, sharing the nuptial news with her followers. The model also posted photos of her and Kinney via Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 14.

One picture of the duo was captioned with a heart emoji. The second image showed Cruger on Kinney’s back with Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department song “But Daddy I Love Him” playing in the background.

“Mr. & Mrs. Kinney,” she captioned the image.

Kinney took his relationship with Cruger public in March 2022 when he shared a photo of them together via Instagram. The NBC star posted a photo of the model getting her nails done at the time, alongside a caption that read: “Why would you tell me that."

Months later, Kinney showed off their love with a July 2022 post touching their tongues. The actor wrote, “I love you savage,” in pink text on the image.

The pair have kept their relationship relatively low key, only sharing the rare photos of themselves together. In fact, fans didn’t even know the pair were engaged.

Kinney was previously engaged to Lady Gaga. The actor and singer were together for five years, from 2011 to 2016, meeting after Kinney starred in Gaga’s “You and I” music video.

The former pair got engaged in February 2015, but called it quits by July of the following year.

“Taylor and I have always believed we are soulmates. Just like all couples we have ups and downs, and we have been taking a break,” the singer announced via Instagram at the time. “We are both ambitious artists, hoping to work through long-distance and complicated schedules to continue the simple love we have always shared. Please root us on. We're just like everybody else and we really love each other.”

Gaga referenced her relationship with Kinney years later while performing at a 2020 Joe Biden's rally held in Pennsylvania.

"I was engaged to a man from Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I know, I know, it didn't work out,” she said at the time. "I loved him so much but it just did not work out.”
