'Tis the season for watching Christmas movies!

For most of us, the entire month of December is dedicated to squeezing in all of our favorite Christmas traditions. As much as we love decorating the tree, buying white elephant gifts, and hosting Christmas parties, the very best Christmas activity can be done right from the couch. (Preferably while wearing Christmas pajamas!) There's just something about classic Christmas movies that make the holiday season feel extra warm and fuzzy. That's why so many families gather 'round the television every year to catch A Charlie Brown Christmas. Talk about nostalgia!

All of the Peanuts holiday classics—It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and A Charlie Brown Christmas—have been airing annually on network TV for decades. This year is no exception, and one of the best animated Christmas movies of all time will soon be back on the small screen. But that's not the only way to get your Peanuts fix! Here's where to watch A Charlie Brown Christmas this year.

Where to Watch A Charlie Brown Christmas on TV

The Peanuts Christmas special will be available to watch on TV this year for one night only. (In other words, don't miss it!) A Charlie Brown Christmas will air on Sunday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m. ET on PBS and PBS Kids.

"We are delighted to bring the joy of these holiday classics to families across the country, in partnership with our member stations," said Paula Kerger, President and CEO of PBS. "During these challenging times, public television continues to be a free and easily accessible source of comfort, inspiration and education for millions of Americans.”

Be sure to check your local listings and set your DVRs!

Is A Charlie Brown Christmas on Netflix, Hulu, or Disney+?

Nope! If you miss the special live on PBS, you can still stream A Charlie Brown Christmas online—but it's only available on Apple TV+. For $4.99 a month (after a free 7-day trial) subscribers can access the entire classic Peanuts collection, plus a brand-new holiday special: For Auld Lang Syne.

There's also a chance that the streaming service makes the program free for non-subscribers in the days leading up Christmas. That's what they did last year, so here's hoping that Apple TV+ is feeling generous again!
