Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY Merges Medieval Britain With Sartorial Suiting for Pre-Spring 2024

Charles Jeffrey LOVERBOY just released its Pre-Spring 2024 collection, dubbed "STATANT PASSANT RAMPANT."

Drawing inspiration from medieval Britain while retaining its sartorial roots, the collection aims to represent the three poses adopted by animals which feature in "traditional heraldry," transitioning from standing (statant) to walking (passant) and finally, to a hind-legged roar (rampant.)

Landing in the form of vibrant illustrations by Charles Jeffrey, the collection's pieces aim to repurpose traditional symbology, acting as a central motif for Pre-Spring 2024. Striking designs of unicorns, eagles and lions are depicted alongside diamonds and colorful stripes, appearing printed onto denim jackets and jeans, mini-dresses and knitwear.

The brand's signature tartan remains a core pillar of the new collection, arriving in reimagined denim styles and intrinsically woven into plaid suiting and mini kilts. Jeffrey continues to weave medieval tropes into his designs, merging DIY doodles of jesters, castles and swords with technical sportswear pieces, net dresses and white shirts.

The collection also marks the debut of two new suiting styles, the single-breasted Glasgow suit and the double-breasted Edinburgh suit. Elsewhere, Pre-Fall 2024 sees the introduction of new season accessories, including black leather shoulder bags, ear-emblazoned beanies, hats and glasses.
