Challengers, the highly anticipated new project from Luca Guadagnino, premiered in theaters today.

Starring Zendaya, Josh O'Connor, and Mike Faist, the film—which director Guadagnino describes a as "sexy comedy"—follows tennis prodigy Tashi (Zendaya) who has to retire after a career-ending injury. She stars coaching her husband, Art (Faist), who has to face off against his former best friend, Patrick (O'Connor)—who just happens to be Tashi's ex-boyfriend.

Zendaya said playing Tashi beguiled her. "I still don't understand the decisions she makes, and we had so many conversations about the psychology of her and why she is that way," she explained. "What was important to me was that she was unapologetic about it. Sometimes characters who are messy and conflicted and wield power over other people are reserved for [actors] who don’t look like me, so when I get an opportunity to play a character like that, I'ma take it!"

Challengers is produced by Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) pictures and distributed by Amazon MGM Studios in the U.S., which means when it hits streaming, it will be available on Prime Video. (Amazon now owns MGM, which means all MGM films will stream on Prime.)

There's no set date yet for Challengers to be released on streaming, but historically, Amazon gives their films at least a month-long theatrical run. For example, Creed III—another Amazon MGM film—was available to stream around three months after it premiered in theaters. So, it's likely Challengers will be streaming by this summer—just in time for Wimbledon, the Paris Olympics, and the U.S. Open.

If you don't want to wait for Challengers to be streaming, it's out in theaters now.
