Take a moment to reflect on the passage of time, namely, the fact that the iconic movie A Cinderella Story is now almost thirteen years old. Beyond behind a star vehicle for teen queen Hilary Duff, it also introduced a whole generation of folks to the fantasy image of Chad Michael Murray as Prince Charming. (AKA Austin Ames.)

It seems Murray and his wife Sarah Roemer also recently felt some kind of nostalgic way, and for the Children's Hospital of Orange County's oncology prom, he slipped back into the original A Cinderella Story outfit. Um, did anyone else just feel their heart beat a little faster?

Roemer, naturally, flaunted her husband's pop culture throwback on Instagram:

"I waited for a prince and he took me to my 1st prom. 👑@chadmurray15 #CHOC #prom #austinames"

Murray himself posted a snap of him wearing the outfit, but also dropped the knowledge that yeah, this was legit the same costume from the original film shoot. Ah, the perks of being an actor with iconic roles:

"Had the amazing pleasure of attending the #CHOC Prom last night. This is one of 4 or 5 rooms they decorated. It was incredible. I Brought Austin Ames out of retirement, I mean Hey it's Prom! Met the best kids & got to dance with my Wife at her 1st Prom. Thanku @warnerbrosentertainment for letting me take the wardrobe out for a night. Big win- IT STILL FITS! #cinderellastory #AustinAmesLives #PrincetonGirl #Nomad #prom"

A Cinderella Story: truly timeless.
