'Center Stage: On Pointe' First Look Trailer: Yes, Peter Gallagher Is Back!

Ballet is ready to take Center Stage on Lifetime.

The network unveiled a first look at Center Stage: On Pointe, a made-for-television sequel to the 2000 film about up-and-coming ballet dancers (and a 2008 TV movie follow-up, Turn It Up). Center Stage: On Pointe brings back several cast members from the original, including Peter Gallagher as American Ballet Academy director Jonathan Reeves.

Sascha Radetsky and Ethan Stiefel reprise their roles as Charlie and Cooper, though now they’ve matured from dancers to choreographers. Turn It Up’s Kenny Wormald also appears as choreographer Tommy, while his co-star Nicole Munoz returns as rising dancer Bella. Added to the mix is Chloe Lukasiak of Dance Moms, playing a dance prodigy named Gwen.

In On Pointe, Gallagher’s Reeves is looking for fresh talent to modernize and reinvigorate the company, so he holds an intensive training camp. Choreographers Charlie, Cooper, and Tommy put the hopefuls, including Bella and Gwen, through grueling sessions. After the blood, sweat, and tears, only a few outstanding winners will be selected to join the company.

Center Stage: On Pointe airs June 25 on Lifetime.
