Celebrate TMNT and SCOTT PILGRIM With Bryan Lee O’Malley’s Exclusive Prints and Comics

These days, we know comic book creator Bryan Lee O’Malley best for his iconic series Scott Pilgrim vs. The World. However, back when he was a child in the early ’90s, like most other kids in the world, he was all about those heroes in a half-shell, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, he’s paying homage to the heroes of his youth with a new series of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles variants from the folks at Bottleneck Gallery and IDW. 2024 is the perfect year for such a creative crossover. That’s because this year marks 40 years of Ninja Turtles as well as 20 years of Scott Pilgrim. You can check out each comic cover and corresponding screen print down below:

How much of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fanboy was Bryan Lee O’Malley? Well, back in 1991, when he was a mere 10 or 11 years old, he drew some Ninja Turtles drawings in his notebook. Luckily, he still has them after all these years. And we must say, these are pretty fabulous drawings for a kid that age. It’s really no wonder he had a big future in comics many years later. IDW is relaunching the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles brand in a big, bad way in 2024, with several new comic book series on the docket. Even after forty years in the game, there’s no slowing down Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo in the 2020s.
