Carys Douglas might just have the best closet out there. After all, the daughter of Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas can skim through her mom’s clothes whenever she wants. Carys (smartly) did just that for her 21st birthday this past weekend, and the recreation was epic.

For her milestone birthday, Carys rocked a pink ankle-length slip dress that her mom wore to the 1999 MTV Movie Awards. The ultra-feminine (and ultra-beautiful) dress has skinny beaded straps, beaded florals, and lace paneling. Zeta-Jones paired the dress with strappy metallic heels and delicate hoops and let her shoulder-length brown curls fall effortlessly.

Carys followed suit — matching her mom’s look pretty much to a tee — and she looked just as stunning as her mama! Plus, she had such a joyous and carefree look about her while celebrating this momentous birthday.

“The most perfect 21st I could ask for ! 🌸,” she captioned the carousel of photos.

Zeta-Jones, ever the proud mom, was so happy for her daughter. “You deserve it sweetheart ❤️,” the actress commented.

In 2018, Carys told Town and Country that she’s always looking through her mom’s closet, and we wonder if she already had her 21st birthday outfit picked out. “Fashion has been so important in my life because my mom is like a fashion icon to me,” she told the outlet.

Last week, Douglas revealed the secret to how he and Zeta-Jones get their kids — Carys and Dylan, 23 — to spend time with them. And it’s about more than just having a stellar closet.

It’s about going on enviable vacations like their Christmas getaway to India.

“We seduce them with good places to go,” the actor joked on The Today Show. “Catherine and I are blessed with the fact that our kids still like to travel with us … We’re always planning next year, what our trips will be and where we’ll go.”

“It’s just a treat,” he continued. “Especially because we’re not forcing [them]. It’s like, ‘Catherine, look, they actually want to hang out with us!’ You know, it’s a treat.”

While having red-carpet fashion to hand down or lavish international trips aren’t the most relatable ways for parents to get their older kids to hang out with them, we’re certainly happy for the family of four.
