Cardi B, Offset, and Her Super-Rare Birkin Bag Showed Up So Late to a Knicks Game

What’s a courtside seat if not an opportunity to flex your style? Cardi B and Offset know what I’m talking about. The rapper and her husband showed up to the May 1 Knicks versus Sixers game at Madison Square Garden with just three minutes to go in the fourth quarter—in other words, just enough time to have their ’fits photographed. According to Page Six, the two were held up due to a “wardrobe malfunction.” Thankfully, all appeared to be resolved by the time they arrived. (See the photos here.)

Cardi, wearing a blue gingham button-down and plaid pleated miniskirt, made sure to keep the starring accessory, her Himalayan Birkin bag, front and center as she and her on-again, off-again hubby were escorted to their seats. I mean, do you even own a $200,000 luxury handbag if you’re not photographed with it while pulling some absolutely iconic diva behavior? Kim Kardashian, who toted her own Birkin bag to an NBA game earlier this year, would probably say no.

Cardi leaned into the preppy schoolgirl vibe, wearing her jet-black hair with blunt bangs. She finished the look with shearling knee-high boots, pink-tinted glasses, and two pink hair clips—the kind typically used by makeup artists to keep hair out of the way—for a meta spin. (Maybe she was inspired by Kacey Musgraves’s beauty snafu?) Offset was also dripping in labels, wearing a Chanel scarf on his head and Louis Vuitton cowboy boots on his feet. A Prada logo was also very visible on the buckle of one of the three leather belts he stacked on his hips.

The couple appeared cozy during their short catwalk at MSG, fueling rumors that they’re back together after a brief split last year. Cardi B and Offset share two children together: Kulture, 5, and Wave, 2.

The Knicks will return to Madison Square Garden next week for two home games against the Indiana Pacers. I don’t expect Cardi B and Offset to attend Monday’s game—they might have other plans for the first Monday in May in New York City—but perhaps the two will show up courtside on Wednesday? The Birkin can come too.
