Candiace Dillard Bassett and her baby bump have made their red carpet debut.

On Tuesday (April 30), the former Real Housewives of Potomac star, 37, rocked a floor-length, fitted red gown to host the GRAMMYs on the Hill Awards just two weeks after announcing she and her husband, Chris Bassett, are expecting their first child together.

Prior to the event, the mom-to-be shared how excited she was for the big night. “The Recording Academy is always doing amazing things, but this is super cool to be a part of. Can’t wait to see everyone!” she gushed.

On April 15, the Deep Space singer told Entertainment Tonight that she was “about 13 weeks” and is nearing her second trimester.

“It’s been weird, but also really wonderful, I think, to keep it kind of to ourselves to this point […] It’s just been, like, kind of quietly just growing a bun,” she told the outlet.

Candiace underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) implantation back in January; her pregnancy was confirmed two weeks later.

She admittedly had reservations about entering into motherhood and shared that she “realized that I was never going to be 100 percent ready.” This allowed her to “trust the process and trust my doctors and stop being afraid and just do it,” adding, “So once we decided together that we were going to do that — together — it just was kind of all moving by faith from there.”

Candiace is eager to find out the gender of her first child, but teased that their personality may be “more like Chris than me.” He has three children—two sons and a daughter—from previous relationships.

The pregnancy news came after she announced her departure from RHOP after six seasons.
