THREE OAKS — The Acorn is accepting submissions for its 2024 Spectacular Tournament of Playwrights Competition.

The competition is open to writers from across the United States to submit original scripts for plays with a full runtime of 10 minutes.

The Acorn’s reading committee will select six finalists, who will be announced Aug. 1, and the plays will be presented by local actors and directors at The Acorn on Nov. 2, where winners will be voted on and announced.

First place receives $500; second place, $200; and third place, $100.

The entry fee is $15.

The deadline to submit is 11:59 p.m. May 31 at acornlive.org.
