“LA, we're coming to get you!” Springsteen says. “You've been warned.”

“The Beverly Hillbillies” theme is actually “The Ballad of Jed Clampett,” composed by Paul Henning and recorded first by bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs.

Springsteen emphasizes the “swimming pools” and “movie stars” line in the song. On the topic, the Boss guest- starred on the March 31 episode of HBO's hit “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”

“The Beverly Hillbillies,” starring Buddy Ebsen, Irene Ryan, Donna Douglas and Max Baer Jr. as the Clampetts, ran on CBS from 1962 to 1971.

The finale of “Curb Your Enthusiasm" airs Sunday, April 7.

Springsteen and the E Street Band's pre-show hype videos commenced on March 17 when the Boss delivered a video message to fans two days before the relaunch of their concert tour at the Footprint Center in Phoenix. The tour was postponed in September as Springsteen battled peptic ulcer disease.
