Brooklinn Khoury Prepares for Lip Tattoo After Reconstructive Surgery: 'It Will Bring This Whole Lip to Life'

Brooklinn Khoury had her first consultation for a lip tattoo after having her final reconstructive surgery earlier this year

Brooklinn Khoury is finally getting ready to have her lip tattooed.

The pro skateboarder — who lost her top lip and part of her nose after she was attacked by a pit bull in November 2020 — posted an Instagram video documenting her visit to Studio Sashiko, a Los Angeles tattoo shop, for a consultation following her final reconstructive surgery earlier this year.

In the clip, the 24-year-old went to the consultation and tested possible colors for the lip tattoo in order for her reconstructed top lip to match her bottom lip. She was joined by her surgeon, Dr. Nicholas Do, and girlfriend, Chloé Lukasiak.

Khoury admitted she was “so nervous” but still excited for the final steps of her recovery journey.

“I had a tattoo consultation today, and I know it will bring this whole lip to life! I'm so blessed and excited for this next stage of the process,” she captioned the post. “I don’t know who needs to hear this but remember to take one day at a time, life throws crazy things at you that might seem impossible to get through, but I promise you can and you will. Life is crazy, but it’s beautiful.”

Back in March, Khoury posted another video celebrating having an official lining on her top lip after her seventh and final surgery.

She then tried on different color lipsticks in order to see what she’d look like.

"It's not bad, it looks weird on me. I haven't had any color here for two years, almost three. Let's go darker," she said trying on a blush hue and then a bold red lipstick color. "It's definitely gonna take some getting used to. But I am so happy that now I have a lip line."

In the caption of the post, she wrote, "Getting my lip tattooed will be one of the last steps. it's definitely going to take some getting used to, but I am so excited for it."

Khoury's latest reconstructive surgery took place in February and she previously explained to her followers what her doctor achieved during the procedure.

"Today you can definitely see more definition of the lip," she said. "Although it is still very swollen, I do see the central columns forming and that dimple as well. Also what my doctor did was raise the lip so I have more teeth show."

"And if you look at your lip, you'll notice you have this right here," Khoury continued, pointing to the unique shape under her top lip. "My doctor was able to mimic that. So my lip looks more natural and aesthetic."

"Still very swollen, but the sutures are out and the lip is healing good!" she added in the caption. "I feel like I am still in shock. I can't believe I have the cupid bow and the lip line! So crazy."
