Broadway shows coming to Playhouse Square in 2024-2025 season

CLEVELAND (WJW) – Playhouse Square announced seven shows taking the Cleveland stage for the 2024-2025 KeyBank Broadway Series.

The announcements were made to a live audience at the Connor Palace Theater Tuesday night.

FOX 8’s Natalie Herbick even made an appearance on stage with Emily Koch, who performed “Better” from “Kimberly Akimbo,” one of the headlining shows coming to Playhouse Square this season.

Here’s the 2024-2025 lineup:

  • A Beautiful Noise: A Neil Diamond Musical — Oct. 8-27, 2024

  • Some Like It Hot — Nov. 5-24, 2024

  • Life of Pi – Jan. 7-26, 2025

  • Parade – Feb. 4 – 23, 2025

  • & Juliet – March 4 – 23, 2025

  • Shucked – April 22 – May 11, 2025

  • Kimberly Akimbo – July 15 – August 23, 2025

“A Beautiful Noise: A Neil Diamond Musical” is a musical memoir created in collaboration with the legendary musician and Rock Hall inductee to celebrate Diamond’s career. The show will be Oct. 8 – 27, 2024.

“Some Like It Hot” is a Tony Award-winning “super-sized, all-out song-and-dance spectacular” musical comedy, according to Playhouse Square. It’s coming to the stage Nov. 5 – 24, 2024.

“Life of Pi” is based on the massively successful novel by Yann Martel. According to Playhouse Square, the musical features “jaw-dropping visuals” and “world class puppetry.” It will arrive Jan. 7 – 26, 2025.

“Parade” is a 2023 Tony Award-winning musical that follows the 1913 trial of Jewish American Leo Frank. The show will come to Cleveland Feb. 4 – 23, 2025.

“& Juliet” is a hit Broadway musical that retells the story of “Romeo and Juliet” if Juliet hadn’t died at the end of William Shakespeare’s drama. The show, featuring plenty of modern pop songs, arrives at Playhouse Square March 4 – 23, 2025.

“Shucked” is a Tony Award-winning comedy musical, although a bit “corny,” that, according to Playhouse Square, “is sure to satisfy your appetite for great musical theater.” The show will be April 22 – May 11, 2025.

“Kimberly Akimbo,” the Tony Award Winner for Best Musical last year, is a comedy musical about “growing up and growing old but not particularly in that order,” according to Playhouse Square. Get ready to see the show July 15 – August 23, 2025.

Season tickets are now available online or by calling (216) 640-8800. Season ticket prices range from $154 to $758 per seat.

This was Playhouse Square’s first live, in-person announcement in four years.

“We’re thrilled to be able to host a live audience for this event again,” said Playhouse Square President and CEO Craig Hassall. “The energy of the crowd reacting to the show titles as they are unveiled is something that cannot be replicated.”
