Britney Spears and Sam Asghari make rare appearance together at GLAAD Awards
Britney Spears was sparkling with her boyfriend of over a year, Sam Asghari, by her side at Thursday’s GLAAD Media Awards in L.A.
It was a big night for the “Crazy” singer: She was honored with the Vanguard Award, which is given to people who make a significant difference in promoting equality and acceptance of LGBTQ people. However, that wasn’t the only reason. She brought along her Wilhelmina model beau, and, while they didn’t walk the carpet together (she did that solo), she did allow photographers to snap them inside — a first for the couple.
Spears’s Vegas residency certainly rubbed off on her outfit choice, which was silver, sparkly, and barely there. It showcased her amazing figure, which she clearly spends a lot of time on. She and Asghari, who is also a fitness buff, made a pretty pair as they smiled for cameras during a break from their meal.
Asghari, who at 24 is 12 years younger than Britney, gushed over her receiving the accolade in a post on Instagram, calling her his “better half.”

Spears and Asghari met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video. She took his number and waited to call. They started popping up on each other’s social feeds in late 2016. Earlier this year, Spears took Asghari with her to Clive Davis’s pre-Grammys party, but they didn’t pose for event photographers.
With all the singer has been dealing with in regard to her ex-husband Kevin Federline — their dispute over his child support payments has been making news in recent months — this relationship seems like a breath of fresh air for Spears.
