The former film star retired from acting over twenty years ago.

Bridget Fonda, the former actress known for her notable performances in The Godfather Part III, Jackie Brown, Single White Female and more critically acclaimed films, recently opened up about the possibility of returning to the acting scene over two decades after retiring.

Fonda, now 59, famously walked away from the industry in the early 2000s and hasn't appeared in a film since starring in 2002's Snow Queen. It was believed that the ex-film star wanted to take a step back from Hollywood in order to start a family with her now-husband Danny Elfman.

Now, Fonda is weighing in on the possibility of her making a comeback, telling reporters in Los Angeles earlier this week that she doesn't see herself getting back on the big screen.

In a new video obtained by The Daily Mail, Fonda was spotted at LAX airport on Monday, April 17, which is when paparazzi asked her if there is any chance she'd return to acting, to which she quickly replied, "No."

"I don't think [there's any chance]," she said while getting into the car with her son, Oliver Elfman, 18, adding, "It's too nice being a civilian."

The paparazzi continued to prod her about the topic, asking her, "Is there any director that can convince you otherwise?" but her answer remained a firm, "no."

Prior to her retirement, Fonda—who is the niece of longtime Hollywood star Jane Fondahad been involved in the industry since she was just a little girl. She made her film debut in her dad Peter Fonda's 1969 movie Easy Rider with an uncredited role at the age of 4.

She has rarely been spotted out in public since stepping out of the spotlight, though she was photographed last January on her 58th birthday, marking 12 years since the public had last seen her.
