Brian Cage comments on his future.

In April 2024, former ROH World Six-Man Tag Team Champion Brian Cage stated that he had re-signed with AEW, as he landed a lengthy deal.

In an interview with Xenia for XeniaDidThat, Brian Cage was asked about the news. He clarified that he signed the deal last year. He was then asked to comment on whether he would call himself an AEW lifer.

“I mean, anything can happen in the world of wrestling, as they say,” Brian Cage said. “But that was part of it too. I’ve already been there for over three years, I signed a really long-term deal. So once that deal lapses, which I would imagine I’d still want to be in wrestling, involved in wrestling, and still wrestle, so with my long tenure with AEW, I feel like it would be easier to just stay put.

“If something happens where [there’s] an opportunity to go somewhere else, maybe. But at that point, it’d probably be just like, ‘Ah, if it’s not broke, why fix it?’”

Cage, a former TNA World Champion, has been with AEW since 2020. He has wrestled for AEW and ROH during his time with the company.
