This anti-pirate cannon stops boats dead in their tracks
jimm: It started with Clinton when he opened the door for manufacturing to go to China. This caused a massive decline in the middle class through loss of US manufacturing jobs while creating a number of billionaires who profited from this move. The presidents who followed, both Bush and Obama, were complacent with this arrangement. I found it extremely frustrating that every other excuse was given for the US's economic struggles and that we were being told that somehow the benefits of losing jobs to China would outweigh the negative effects. Meanwhile China has benefited tremendously, now manufacturing a majority of products sold in the US and the world. Their economic rise has been used to bolster their military power and they're getting to the point where they can do anything they want and no one will stand up to them. While I agree there are many things to dislike about Trump, one thing he is doing right is seeing that this current arrangement with China does not favor the US. While there may be a US decline in image and PR, keep this in mind. The US economic decline = US military decline, and China's economic rise = China military rise.
