The shortest month of the year kicks off with a jam-packed weekend (especially if you're at the Beaches, where the DONNA Marathon to Finish Breast Cancer is being held Sunday.) We've got the Joke Machine, two nights of "royal" rock music, a first-time tattoo festival, a famous First Lady and a Black History Month kickoff on tap.

Calendar: Celebrate Black History Month in Jacksonville with these events
The King, Queen and Prince of Rock & Roll
You've never heard "Little Red Corvette" until you've heard it performed by a full orchestra. The Jacksonville Symphony salutes “the royals” — Elvis Presley, Queen and Prince — with guest vocalists, including Grammy winner Tamika Lawrence and "Hamilton" veteran Blaine Krauss. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Jacoby Symphony Hall. $31-$85.
Jacksonville Tattoo Arts Festival
Villain Arts puts on tattoo festivals around the country and, for the first time, it's Jacksonville's turn. The inaugural Jacksonville Tattoo Arts Festival is at the Prime Osborn Convention Center from 2-11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday. The event includes daredevils, a suspension show, a burlesque sideshow and tattoo contests, plus seminars and guests from TV's "Ink Masters." $20-$40.
Black 365: Buy Out the Block
The Jax Melanin Market celebrates the first weekend of Black History Month with vendors, food trucks and a salute to Motown music from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at A. Philip Randolph Heritage Park. They are also leading tours through the historic Eastside Old City Cemetery from 1-5 p.m. Saturday. A Black History 365 festival and parade are planned for the same site on March 3.
‘Jackie’
Jacqueline Kennedy was still reeling from her own husband's death when she received word in 1968 that her brother-in-law Robert had been murdered, so it's no real surprise that she decided she’d had enough and changed the direction of her life. The play is in the Terry Theater in downtown Jacksonville at 2 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday. $68.85.
Demetri Martin
Demetri Martin earned the nickname "The Joke Machine" for his relentless delivery. He's hosted his own TV show, done standup specials and comedy albums and, according to his bio, has brown hair and is allergic to peanuts. He's at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall for two shows, at 5 and 8 p.m. Sunday. $39.50-$69.50.
