Billy Porter arrived at the 2024 Time100 Gala in New York City on Thursday, wearing platform Chelsea boots.
The “Cinderella” actor attended the annual celebration of the Time 100 list of the world’s most influential people. For this year’s event, held at the Jazz at Lincoln Center, Taraji P. Henson was invited to host the ceremony. The 2024 Time 100 list included Dua Lipa, 21 Savage, Mark Cuban, Leslie Odom Jr. and America Ferrera.
Porter has been gravitating towards height-boosting silhouettes lately. Earlier this week, the actor wore brown crystal-embellished platform sneakers to the Grammy U Conference. He wore a pair of elevated Gucci boots to perform during the Miami Beach Pride Festival earlier this month. He wore the same black pair when attending The Williams Institute’s 2024 The Legacy Gala a week before.
About The Shoes
To walk the red carpet, Porter donned a pair of black Chelsea boots. The leather shoes featured a rounded toe and side panels along the sleeve that allow the set to have a slip-on silhouette. The pair was completed by a rubber platform sole that was about 2 inches tall.
Many stars favor the sleek style including Kendall Jenner, Kanye West and Jennifer Garner, who was seen wearing a Chanel set to sing a duet with Willie Nelson last month.
